Local Plan Call For Sites process - reopened

CALL FOR SITES - PART 2 - IS NOW LIVE

THE CONSULTATION IS OPEN FROM MONDAY 28THJANUARY TO MONDAY 8TH APRIL 2019.

The Central Lancashire Local Plan is a partnership between Chorley Borough Council, Preston City Council and South Ribble Borough Councils to deliver a combined local plan that will proactively manage the future needs of the region. The first stage of the Central Lancashire Local Plan Review formally re-opens today with the re-launch of the initial consultation, the Call for Sites

Our Part 1 of the Call for Sites ran from August to November 2018, Part 2 beings today and will run until Monday 8th April 2018. Individuals, developers or any interested parties are being invited once more to submit details of any sites across the three authority areas that may be suitable and available for development or reallocation over the next 15 years for inclusion into the emerging Local Plan.

Submitted sites can be any size or type; including occupied; vacant, derelict or undeveloped land. There is no minimum required number of dwellings or floor space for development proposals. Proposals can be for any type of land use, including residential, commercial, retail, leisure or recreation. You do not need to own the site to submit it to us, as long as a detailed 1:1250 Location Plan is included with your submission. This can be added as an attachment or created using our embedded mapping tool.

Sites that have already been sent to us in Part 1 are being assessed and do not need to be submitted again.

The call for sites exercise does not determine whether a site should be allocated for development. However, it will help to identify potential sites for further consideration through a range of subsequent technical work. This will help to inform future decisions on allocations in the new Central Lancashire Local Plan.

Once the Call for Sites consultation closes, the sites will be subject to technical assessment to consider the suitability, availability and achievability (including viability) of the site and developments proposed. The sites considered most appropriate will then progress to the next stage of the local plan subject to further public consultations, keep an eye on our website for an updated timetable of Local Plan stage progression.
